Official Statement from the Knope 2012 Campaign 

You may have heard about the minor skirmish at a recent campaign event held at a local bowling alley. We would just like to clear things up and say that it was not a minor skirmish; it was really more of an impressive iron-fisted knockout, dealt by the hands of our very own campaign manager Ben Wyatt.

The man he punched was visibly drunk and becoming very aggressive towards City Council candidate Leslie Knope, and Ben was awesome and took him down like he was a sack of potatoes and Ben was a guy who’s awesome at punching out bags of potatoes. Everyone in the bowling alley was very invigorated by his showing of strength, and most of the ladies in attendance swooned. The campaign would like to formally commend his braveness.

Also, we would like to apologize to the Rock N’ Roll Bowling Alley, a reputable and safe place of business. Here’s to Ben!
